Don’t miss the 1:24 scale Miniature Dutch Village. Eighty buildings model traditional Dutch architecture while miniature people dressed in authentic costumes go about the business of daily life in Holland.
The Miniature Dutch Village is located on the 2nd floor of the Interpretive Center. The small towns show architectural characteristics of houses and stores. The village is a “work in progress,” hand crafted by Pella Historical Society volunteers.
The miniature LGB train & trolley complete the scene of 1850’s life in Holland. All Miniature Village buildings have or had a counterpart in The Netherlands.
Be sure to look in the windows of our Miniature Village. The Dutch are very proud of their homes. “Window peeking” is allowed and encouraged to view the beautiful interiors.
