		A Trip to the Netherlands
			This curriculum includes learning basic facts about The Netherlands while pretending to take a trip to the Netherlands. In making decisions about what to pack, where to go, what to see and do, what to eat, and where to stay students will learn much about the geography, climate, culture and traditions of The Netherlands. Issues of transportation, currency, and language will also be addressed within class preparations. Teacher given material, sites on the Internet, books, and travel brochures will help students make informed decisions. A trip to the miniature village will allow students to simulate a trip to a quaint Dutch community. Tour guides at the village will help students interpret what they are seeing. When students "return" to their classrooms they will be asked to create a travelogue of their own experiences illustrated by photos from the Internet, brochures, calendars, magazines, etc.
