Garden Tour and Tea
During the Garden Tour, you will visit four Pella area private gardens plus the Scholte House Gardens, the Sunken Park Gardens, and the Central Park Garden.. Following your tour of the gardens, you are invited to attend the Tea from 10 -2 at the Scholte Church, corner of East 2nd and Franklin Streets.
Each garden offers planting ideas and colorful annuals and perennials, including lilies and roses. Gardens with mature trees present lush shade plantings, water garden features add a touch of paradise.
After the Garden Tour, stop by the Pella Historical Village's Scholte Church for afternoon tea.
The Garden Boutique at Scholte Church offers an opportunity for early Christmas shopping and finding specially crafted garden related items, birdhouses and butterfly houses for your home gardens.
Tips for Garden Tour Visitors
- Wear sensible shoes for walking on rough surfaces
- Plan car pools to ease parking
- Please do not ask to use the facilities in private homes

Garden Tour times subject to change. Tickets for the fund raising tour include private gardens, Scholte Gardens, Historical Village Garden, Boutique and complimentary Tea. Rain or shine. Tickets available through the Pella Historical Society. Advanced tickets recommended. No ticket refunds Tickets: $6.00 in advance and $8.00 June 15 through 21. Proceeds benefit the Historical Village Gardens.
